$30,000 check presented to Max McGee Center
Through their annual Tee Up Fore the Cure golf outing, ITU AbsorbTech raised $60,000 to support diabetes research. Half of the funds were donated to JDRF, and the other half to the Max McGee Center at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.
The funds given to the Max McGee National Research Center for Juvenile Diabetes will support a unique line of research studying the genetic link that leads to the development of diabetes. The McGee Center will purchase vital equipment needed to freeze and maintain blood samples from siblings of those with Type 1 Diabetes.
