The National Floor Safety Institute (NFSI) is intended to provide product manufacturers the means to have their products independently evaluated for wet slip resistance. The end result is to provide the end-user relevant information to make a more informed buying decision.
What is NFSI?
The NFSI is an ANSI-accredited standards developer. As the governing authority over the ANSI/NFSI B101.1 Committee, the NFSI acts to manage and oversee the development of standards by the B101 committee.
The NFSI has spent more than fifteen years researching various test methods by which materials can be evaluated for their degree of slip resistance, which has resulted in the most comprehensive evaluation process to date.
What is an NFSI Certified Product?
A NFSI Certified Product is a product that has been submitted to the NFSI by the product manufacturer for testing according to the applicable ANSI/NFSI standard. When a product has met all minimum requirements to be identified as a “High-Traction” product, the NFSI grants the product as NFSI Certified “High-Traction”.
